Recommended ResourcesHere are some resources our members have found useful:
The Guild Handbook of Scientific Illustration This information packed tome, written by GNSI members, is a must for anyone interested in science illustration.
The Non-Designer's Design Book, Second Edition Though written for beginners, this book is an excellent refresher for old pros as well.
Graphic Artists Guild Handbook of Pricing and Ethical Guidelines The GAG handbook is the standard reference for pricing and policy information in most graphics industries. Pricing information is taken from polls of GAG members. It tends to be a little high on the low end, since few beginning illustrators belong to GAG, but it still remains a good reference The sample contracts and other legal documents also makes it worth the price. |
